Vacancy Position – Assistant Manager – Warehousing & Transport
Location – Head Office, Colombo
Key Responsibilities
• Take full ownership of all stores operations across locations (Colombo, Sapugaskanda, Anuradhapura, etc.).
• Ensure accurate inventory management with real-time system updates via ERP.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Purchasing & Logistics teams for timely replenishment.
• Implement and maintain strict stock control procedures including FIFO/FEFO methodologies.
• Conduct regular stock audits and ensure zero tolerance for discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements — GRNs, Issue Notes, Transfers, and Returns.
• Coordinate closely with Project, After Sales, Workshop, and Finance teams.
• Supervise and manage stores staff, ensuring discipline, attendance, and performance standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, ISO/SGS standards, and audit requirements.
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and material handling across all locations.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in stores or warehouse management, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and team management capability.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-location warehouse operations is essential.
